Patrick:

I had recently gotten back into dating and came across Jamie's profile. I saw some commonalities between us as she was Asian and an architect (as I am also Asian and worked in the construction industry prior as an engineer!). At a gathering with friends, my friend Holly gave some key suggestions on profile photos and prompts to better my dating profile online. Turns out it worked, and Jamie and I matched!

In November 2022, we had our first date at a local coffee shop! In taking my second sip of an Americano, the lid of the coffee cup leaked coffee onto my brand new sweater! The date went well and we both made light of the coffee incident and still laugh about it today (Ask me for my opinions on my coffee lid "standards"). I was drawn to Jamie as we have a similar Korean/Korean-American background, our Christian faith, and other interests being here in Colorado.

Jamie:​

During our first date, a single drop of coffee dripped onto Patrick's sweater. I didn't think it was a big deal, but he freaked out about it and still tells this dramatic story to this day. I remember thinking Patrick was a little shy (which is the opposite of his true personality!), but he had a lot of good qualities that made me want to see him again. The first time he cooked for me, he made a Korean stew, which was really special since I rarely get  homemade Korean meals in Denver. We quickly bonded over similar backgrounds and values, along with common interests in creative arts and outdoor activities.

Patrick + Jamie:

Fast forward to August 2024, we planned a quiet weekend getaway at a mountainside cabin. A lot happened on this trip - we hiked, toured a gold mine, drove to the top of Pikes Peak, and walked around the local town. After cooking dinner one night, we walked to a gazebo near the cabin that Patrick secretly decorated between all the activities. He proposed and she said yes!
